Dr. Chang,
Thank you for teaching us more deeply about the Only Begotten Daughter of God, True Mother (Hak Ja Han). I really appreciate the time and care you put into sharing this with us.
During the lecture, we learned about True Mother's untold story — the suffering she endured that has yet to be shared with many members of the church. While some may not be ready to hear it, this is a story that needs to be told to everyone eventually. Keeping it from people will only create a divide between those who know the truth and those who don't — or who refuse to accept it.
I am deeply grateful to Dr. Yeunhee Chang for her courage in opening our eyes to who True Mother really is. This could not have been easy, yet she stepped forward anyway. For me personally, it was truly eye-opening. I had held a blind belief for so long. As second-generation members, we need to know where we came from, where we are going, and what is happening within our movement.
I also won't pretend the lecture didn't stir mixed feelings in me. Deep down, I had always sensed that something was missing — that our leaders had not told us everything. While it was difficult to hear, it also made sense. It confirmed something I had already felt but couldn't name.
Over the two days of lectures, we covered the difference between faith and belief, key events within FFWPU between 2012 and 2013, the theological understanding of True Mother before and after that period, the significance of the Holy Marriage and how it has been distorted, what it means to be a filial child, and True Mother's own spiritual journey. It was a great deal to take in, but every topic deepened our understanding of our movement and our faith.
The truth is never easy to accept. But as second-generation members, with the spiritual understanding we carry, we are ready for it. And it is through this truth that I have felt drawn closer to True Mother and closer to Heavenly Parents. Hearing about the suffering she endured over more than thirty years was humbling. Only True Mother could carry that kind of heart, patience, and forgiveness. It is unimaginable.
True Mother's proclamation that she is the Only Begotten Daughter is something that, even today, many members struggle to accept. For so long, the focus has been on True Father — and rightly so. But we must also come to understand True Mother's journey. The suffering she endured is what shaped her into who she is, and it is precisely that suffering which grounds her proclamation.
This is our moment. True Mother still has a mission to fulfill — for our movement, for humanity, for God. There are those who oppose her, who seek to silence her proclamation. But we must stand with her. We must unite, support her work, and help her accomplish what she came to do. That is the call of this hour.
I want to work hard and stand united with True Mother. She has vital work for our movement and for humanity. I want to be the needle she is looking for. I want to be one heart with True Mother, standing with her.
