Dr. Yeunhee Chang is a storyteller, writer, researcher, lecturer, and online educator. Rooted in a faith she inherited through her grandfather’s membership in the Unification Church (formally known as the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification) — founded by Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han — Dr. Chang brings a deeply personal and scholarly perspective to her work.

Dr. Chang’s academic journey culminated in a Doctorate of Ministry, with a focus on qualitative research centered on Dr. Hak Ja Han — widely known within the church movement as the True Mother. Her research specifically explores Dr. Han’s own understanding of her identity and mission: that she is the Only Begotten Daughter of God, a conviction Dr. Han has fervently proclaimed since 2013.

For nearly five decades, the church’s teachings were conveyed primarily through the lens of Rev. Sun Myung Moon and the movement’s elders, with ministry centered on Rev. Moon as the returning Lord of the Second Coming. Dr. Chang’s work takes a distinct path — presenting Dr. Han’s teachings, identity, and role as the Only Begotten Daughter and Substantial Holy Spirit as a separate and significant body of teaching in its own right. This perspective has become a point of meaningful conversation and debate within the movement. Dr. Han herself acknowledges the ongoing reformation taking place, viewing the current divisions and schisms not as fractures, but as an invitation for members to deepen their understanding of themselves as God’s children.

Through this website, Dr. Chang presents materials drawn from her continuing research to help people understand what Dr. Han — as the Only Begotten Daughter of God — has done for God and for humanity, and to illuminate the profound spiritual work unfolding across the long arc of God’s Providence: the developing of a close and binding parent-child relationship between God and His/Her children.

Dr. Chang embraces the challenges of reformation, change, and evolving understanding. She is guided by the conviction — echoing Jordan Peterson — that “when you have something to say, silence is a lie.”
