Truth Without Softening: A Call to Heal

Although much of the content was familiar from the first time I heard it, coming back a second time allowed me to go deeper. I came away with a richer understanding, and certain points landed with even greater weight than before.

What I appreciated most was the unwavering commitment to sharing the truth fully and without softening it. My takeaway was clear: we need to be informed, not protected. When we shroud the truth for the sake of making it more palatable, we give power to shame. We need to own the mistakes and the difficult parts and face them head-on — because without that, we cannot heal. I say this also from my perspective as a trauma-informed therapist.

Overall, I am so grateful for Dr. Chang, her team, and everything they are striving to do for True Mother [Holy Mother Han] and the rest of us. I would gladly hear this content again, and I look forward to continuing to engage with it.
