I attended both the first and second lecture series in LA. After the first time, I needed a while to process everything. The initial shock of learning about the early days of our church left me feeling like I had been kept in the dark my whole life. If something this significant had been hidden, I found myself questioning what else might be. It was a disorienting place to be.
During that time, I went through real doubt — about the Blessing, about True Parents [Holy Mother Han and Reverend Moon], about many things I had taken for granted. I had always seen True Father [Reverend Moon] and True Mother [Holy Mother Han] as the standard of love, and learning that good intentions do not excuse harmful actions shook that image. It was hard.
Coming for a second time, I was hoping to gain clarity — and I did. I came to better understand why this content is being shared: to own up to the pain and confusion that faulty theology caused, and to help correct a path that has delayed God's dream. I also came to understand more clearly what True Mother [Holy Mother Han] is actually calling us to — not getting caught up in all the confusion, but focusing on becoming genuinely caring and loving people who attend Heavenly Parent as filial children.
That gives me something real and practical to hold onto. It felt like something I could actually work toward, instead of getting lost in teachings I couldn't fully make sense of.
Even though I am still working through many questions and uncertainties, I feel that what is being shared is necessary and important. I am grateful for the hard work Dr. Chang is doing to bring True Mother's [Holy Mother Han's] heart to light. Thank you.
